At the sold-out Quantum Future Talent (QFT) 2026 Careers Fair last month, more than 330 attendees gathered at Sydney Masonic Centre for a dynamic exploration of the opportunities emerging across Australia’s vibrant quantum ecosystem.

The breadth of SQA’s expertise and workforce development efforts were showcased before a global audience at the recent 2026 Quantum Australia Conference, held at the Adelaide Convention Centre. 

We celebrate members of the Sydney Quantum Academy PhD community who have recently reached the significant milestone of thesis submission.

We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join a successful photonics research program within the School of Physics. This role will contribute to a cutting‑edge project developing a new generation of radio‑frequency photonic signal processors using integrated nonlinear and analogue photonic technologies.

You will have an opportunity to learn customer-centric design and thinking techniques, full-stack software development delivery, problem solving, analytical thinking, Agile delivery methodology and Scaled Agile experience, DevOps, stakeholder management, solution design, Cybersecurity and much more.
